In the Style of #3 (film)

In the Style of Amalia Elena Veralli:

This is my third in the style of photo. This picture was taken in film, and I'm pretty proud about how well it came out! Working with film was very stressful, so I'm glad this picture came out nicely. This isn't quite what Amalia does for her work, but that is because she works with color a lot, and since this is a film shot, there is no color. I think that other than that, I think that this is a pretty good in the style of photo. I forgot to keep track of my camera settings while I was shooting in film, so I'm not sure what my settings were for this photo.

Recreation-

Amalia Elena Veralli Recreation:

Amalia's Photo:

My Photo:

Aperture: f / 8.0
Shutter speed: 1/160
ISO: 400

This is my recreation picture. I think it came out really well! I used the same type of flower that Amalia used (a white begonia), and the studio setting is the same. I don't know what the camera settings were in the original photo, because it wasn't posted, but I think mine are really similar because the picture looks the same. I used a tripod to get this picture, and a flash to get even light throughout the flower. If I could chance one thing about this picture, I would make it a little darker, because I think it is a tiny bit brighter than Amalia's picture.

Journal #19

I took this picture Tuesday afternoon at Walker Farm. I was looking for flowers I could use for my recreation, and I thought this one was really pretty, so I took a picture of it for my journal. I really like how there are flowers in the background too, and I think that the main flower is really sharp and in focus. The low aperture allows the background to be a little more blurry, and keep the focus on the main subject. Overall, I'm really happy with how this picture came out!
